Female patrons need more out of the vanity area than what has been given to them; here are some cost effective tips to dress up your women vanity area. Please note these design tips can be utilized for both men's and ladies men's locker rooms.
Design Tips
A very important area in the women's locker room is the vanity area. This is where each woman takes the time to apply their make-up and fix their hair before heading off to work. We suggest taking a survey of the existing female members, explaining if a renovation of the existing locker rooms were to take place what is the most important to you. See what their opinions are, and you will be surprised to find out other than cleanliness, the vanity area will be the second choice. Be open minded to take suggestions.
Dry vanity area design tips
- 36" to 40" privacy sections with a shallow depth return partition
- Well lit, but not blaring to the eyes; understand the process of make-up application is very important
- Multiple outlets for the utilization for such devices as blow dryers or hair straighteners, direct 20 amp breakers are suggested for each privacy section
- Deep counters, we suggest 18 inch depth
Although these tips and suggestions may sound costly, in the end the work will pay for itself. By utilizing these tips, owners will benefit as these small changes and renovations may bring in more business, and more importantly happier patrons.
